The craft
Drawn by hand. Made on our own floor.
Boards of solid seasoned wood are chosen one at a time, then turned and carved in our workshop. The artwork — peacocks, arches, blossoms borrowed from Indian miniature painting — is applied by hand and sealed under a food-safe epoxy finish that leaves each piece water resistant and ready to serve.
Nothing here is a printed film on veneer. It takes longer, and it is the reason a piece still looks right after years of use.
